During tonight’s Dancing With the Stars rehearsal segment with Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani, Kate broke down in tears about her current legal custody battle with Jon Gosselin. In an attempt to get her to focus on her dancing, Tony said to her, “If you fail this week, he” (referring to Jon) “wins.” Her dancing was still proved painful to watch. She acted like Tony had bad breath and tried her best not to touch him. The entire performance was weird and awkward. The judges saw signs of life with Bruno going so far as to call it "a mini-breakthrough." "At moments, I actually believed you were dancing!" he exclaimed. "You may not have artistry in your movements, but you have determination," Carrie Ann offered. And Len complimented Tony on "bringing Kate to produce her best dance so far."
