Miss USA 2010 Miss Texas Kelsey Moore 16 to 1 Odds: UTEP volleyball player Kelsey Moore is getting ready to show America what she’s made of by competing in Sunday’s Miss USA Pageant 2010. Online sportsbook BODOG.com has posted betting odds to win the 2010 Miss America Title and has Miss Texas at 16 to 1 odds.
Kelsey Moore is a 19-year-old freshman volleyball player at University of Texas at El Paso, crowned as Miss Texas USA. Because of her age, Moore is one of the most controversial contestants regarding the recent sexual black and white pictures on the Miss USA website.
When asked how volleyball compares to competing in pageants Miss Texas Kelsey Moore replied, “Competition in volleyball is team oriented. You practice and you play as a team and regardless of how good you do as an individual it means nothing unless the whole team wins. The outcome of a volleyball match is in your hands at all times. You have a team competing in pageants that support you and help you prepare along the way, but ultimately you’re the only one that’s standing in front of the judges on ‘game day.’ Once you’re there, everything is out of your hands and your fate is really up to the judges. However, the desire to win and be the best is comparable.”
The 59th annual Miss USA Pageant is set for live broadcast Sunday night on NBC. Celebrity chef, Curtis Stone, will host the competition.
