American Idol 2010 Finale Odds: The two-night season finale of ‘American Idol’ begins tonight. As predicted, the singing competition is down to Crystal Bowersox with 19/10 odds of winning and Lee Dewyze with 2 to 5 odds. The online sportsbook BODOG.com has made predictions on who will be the next ‘American Idol’.
Today on the ‘Ellen Degeneres Show’, Simon Cowell made an appearance and even
predicted the winner of ‘AI’. Simon said, “If you'd asked me five or six weeks ago, 100 percent I would have said Crystal Bowersox. But now I've changed my mind. I think Lee is going to win." Simon Cowell made it clear that he thinks Lee Dewyze will be the next ‘American Idol’. Simon also apologized to Ellen for announcing his departure from American Idol on the same day that Ellen started.
Crystal Bowersox has been a favorite since the beginning of ‘American Idol’. The 24-year-old hippie dreadlocked Mom from Ohio hasn’t been my favorite. I think she’s extremely talented, she’s just so predictable and sounds like any other folk singer in the subway asking for change. Lee Dewyze on the other hand is very entertaining. His only downfall in my opinion is that he sounds like every other hit song on top 40 radio stations. But, isn’t that what ‘American Idol’ is all about? The 24-year-old from Chicago has gained the most self-confidence this season than any other ‘Idol’ contestant. I have a feeling Lee Dewyze will do just fine even if he doesn’t win.
I’m guessing most of the filler on the live two- night event with be mostly about Simon Cowell’s farewell to ‘American Idol’. Simon claims he’s bored with the show and moving on the bigger and better things. There will be a ton of video clips of Simon Cowell throughout his nine seasons on ‘AI’ that include wishes from good friends and photos through the years. There is now word yet on who will officially take over Simon’s spot to judge the ‘Idol’ hopefuls. I think Paula should return!
