American Idol 2010 Performance Night Finale: Crystal Bowersox ruled the stage last night during the final performance episode of ‘American Idol’. She performed effortlessly and owned the stage. In the second round, song choice was picked by ‘American Idol’ creator Simon Fuller. In the third and final round, Crystal Bowersox and Lee Dewyze both sang songs that will be released as their first single if they become the next ‘American Idol’. Lee Dewyze performed U2’s “Beautiful Day” hit while Crystal Bowersox performed a song previously recorded by Kelly Clarkson and Susan Boyle.
Overall, Lee Dewyze seemed a bit off. Maybe his nerves got the best of him. After the ‘American Idol’ gave Lee Dewyze mediocre reviews, Lee explained why he lost his cool on final performance night. Lee commented, “It's not easy performing in front of 7,000 people in a situation like that. And throughout the season the word 'confidence' has come up with me a lot. Looking confident and being confident are two different things, because for me if I wasn't confident I wouldn't be able to do this. I get up there, I do my thing and that's just how I am. I was confident tonight.”
