Hells Kitchen Sizzles in Episode 9: Betting Odds UpdateIt got sizzling hot in Hell’s Kitchen Tuesday night in the show’s ninth-episode with the elimination of Louross from the Blue-Team. In other developments, Chef Gordon Ramsay had Matt and Jen swap places back to their original teams making the competition again between the “Gals and Guys. Two weeks ago Matt was moved over with the girls on the Red-Team in episode-seven followed by Jenn to the Blue in the eighth episode.

Prior to the ninth episode (May 27), Louross had the second best odds to win Hell’s Kitchen at Bodog(Bodoglife.com) at 5/2. So his elimination did come as a bit of a surprise. Matt at 30/1 odds was probably expected to not survive the episode according to the majority of viewers as well as by oddsmakers.

Following Tuesday’s program, oddsmakers at online sportsbook Bodog (Bodoglife.com) still see Christina as the “Chef to Beat” having her installed at 1/1 odds. Corey is the new No. 2 at 10/11 odds. Oddsmakers see Ben as the top Chef with the Blue Team having him installed at 10/1 followed by Petrozza at 20/1.

“I think it will be highly unlikely Matt survives past the 10th episode,” said Point-Spreads.com online wagering expert Reno Gold. “Had the Red Team lost last night (May 27) we wouldn’t be having this conversation. He would already be gone.”

If by chance the Blue team wins episode-10, Jenn would be the most likely to be eliminated from the Red. Odds on Jenn winning Hell’s Kitchen are the least of the Red Team at 15/1.

The winner of the cooking competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Chef Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
