 If Hell’s Kitchen has a leader among the three remaining contestants it is Christina but only by a very thin margin. Oddsmakers at online sports betting giant Bodog (Bodoglife.com) have installed Christina as a slight 10/11 odds favorite going into Episode 13 with Petrozza hot on her heels at 11/10 odds. Corey at 5/1 has fallen off to the wayside after being a strong challenger only a week ago.
“Absolutely I think the final competition will come down to Christina and Petrozza,” said Point-Spreads.com entertainment handicapper Chatty Kathy. “For sure they [Christina and Petrozza] are the best. I think Corey finally gets the ax tonight and rightfully so. Petrozza has stepped up his game big time. I really like Corey but I expect the final episode next week to be guy versus girl.” At 10/11 betting odds Petrozza is more than just a challenger; however he did surprise the experts. As far back as episode three Petrozza was a 22/1 odds longshot. In another betting category, Bodog is offering a wagering opportunity on the winner being male or female. The female, once a shoe-in at -1600 moneyline odds is now only slightly better than a male, -130 to -110. The deck is almost stacked even at this point. Last week a bet on Petrozza (as the only guy) winning was at +800 odds. That would have paid $800 on a $100 bet. On Tuesday five hours prior to the airing of Episode 13, a Male bet will cost $110 to win $100. If anything , that shows the distance Petrozza has closed the gap. The winner of the cooking competition will earn a coveted senior chef position at Chef Ramsay’s new restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at the London West Hollywood, which is scheduled to open in summer 2008.
