Alec Baldwin to appear on The View

Tomorrow Alec Baldwin will make a guest appearance on The View to talk about the nasty voice message he left for his 12-year-old daughter last week after she did not answer her phone for a scheduled chat.  Long time friend, Rosie O’Donnell is defending him, however she did urged Baldwin not to appear on the show.
 
The voicemail Baldwin left for his daughter, Ireland, was released by TMZ and dispersed all over the Web and television.  In the message he called his daughter a “thoughtless little pig” and threatened to straighten her out.  BetUS.com has odds at -200 that Baldwin will lose custody of his daughter.
 
Alec Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger have been in a bitter custody battle for several years.  Baldwin claims Basinger has alienated him from his child and says the voice message was really directed towards her.
 
He tells the ladies of The View, "Well, there’s nothing wrong with being frustrated or angry about something. It’s the way you do it, and as people often do in this world, I took it out on the wrong person because I’m unable, under the current dynamic, to address the other person. I realize that was wrong."
Baldwin recently asked NBC to let him out of his contract with 30 Rock.  The show is done filming for the season, but will return in the fall.  Alec Baldwin is concerned how this controversy will affect the other people who work on the show.  
 
Despite his desire to leave, NBC shot him down. "Alec Baldwin <http://www.atpictures.com/alec/> remains an important part of 30 Rock. We look forward to having him continue his role in the show," NBC said in a statement.
 
Baldwin has also parted ways with his agency, Creative Agents Agency. The agency is credited with his comeback.  After joining them in 2002, he landed hits like The Cooler, 30 Rock, not to mention The Departed.
 
Alec Baldwin wants to take the time to focus on his issue of “parental alienation.”  He told The View, "If I never acted again, I couldn't care less." He needs some time out of the spotlight.  His visitation from Ireland has been suspended until May 4th, when the actor appears in court with Kim Basinger.
 
Bladwin isn’t the only one in the wrong in this situation. What about Kim Basinger? She is the one who released the voice message in the first place.  It is because of her their 12-year-old daughter Ireland has been humiliated.
