Anna Nicole Smith Saga: Is J Howard Marshall the Father?

The latest news in the Anna Nicole Smith saga is that Dannielynn may in fact be the daughter of deceased oilman J. Howard Marshall. According to Smith’s half-sister, Donna Hogan, Anna Nicole froze Howard’s sperm to secure herself a part of his $2 billion estate.  
 
The claims are being rejected as a hoax.  The book, "Train Wreck: Anna Nicole Unauthorized", was written by Stacy Brown on Hogan’s behalf and is scheduled to be released in June 2007.  The publishing company Phoenix Books has rejected the part in the manuscript about J Howard Marshall because Brown never interviewed Hogan.  
 
When Donna Hogan first read the manuscript she was upset because of the inaccuracies written on her behalf.  Hogan’s father, Don, who is also Smith’s father, denied the claim. “Where would she get something like that?" He told the New York Post. “Donna has only met her once in her life."   
 
Meanwhile, Howard K. Stern has returned to the Bahamas and currently has custody of the baby.  Dannielynn cannot leave the Bahamas without Stern’s permission.  They are residing in the home they once shared with Anna Nicole.
The home was recently robbed while Howard was still in Florida. Some of Anna’s personal belongings were taken.  A housekeeper was being questioned by police.  Stern has asked that the items be returned to Bahamian Police, no questions asked.    
 
Questions of ownership are being raised about the mansion. Prior to her death, Smith claimed former boyfriend G. Ben Thompson gave her the house.  However, Thompson claims he only loaned the house.  Anna Nicole’s residency in the Bahamas was based on the ownership of the mansion.  She asked the courts to ignore Thompson’s claims.  A Supreme Court Hearing is scheduled for February 26th to resolve the matter.  
 
An autopsy was performed Friday and no immediate cause of death was found.  Rumors are flying that Smith was boozing it up in the hotel’s 24 hour Centre Bar just hours before her death.  
 
A bartender named Mike claims Anna was “wasted out of her mind.” He said, “Her eyes were droopy. It looked like she was really, really drunk. She was slurring her speech. She looked plastered.”  
 
Dr. Joshua Perper, who performed the autopsy, says he saw no signs of her drinking despite an enlarged liver.  He said, ''There was no scent of alcohol in her stomach lining, no residue, nothing."
 
Prescription medications including Xanax, Provigil, Vicodin and Methadone, were found in Anna Nicole Smith’s room.  Perper says all of the medication was in her name, not Howard K. Stern’s.  No illegal drugs were present.  
 
The paternity test is still pending.  A hearing is scheduled for February 20th. Howard K. Stern will submit for DNA testing along with Dannielynn in the Bahamas or in the United States as soon as he receives a court order.
