Billy Ray Cyrus was voted off the 8th week of Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday night. Billy Ray and his dance partner Karina Smirnoff received the lowest score on Monday. Their combined total was only 38 out of 60. BetUS.com had odds at 16/1 that Billy Ray Cyrus would win Dancing With the Stars.
The couple performed the foxtrot first. As usual, it was terrible despite Billy Ray’s improvement over the past few weeks. An argument erupted between the judges and Bruno Toniolo called Cyrus’ foxtrot “crap.” Billy Ray responded backstage by calling Bruno “crap.” Their foxtrot total was an 18.
Cyrus and Smirnoff attempted the mambo for their second dance. Karina was very good, as usual. And Billy Ray was, well Billy Ray. He tried. The judges weren’t interested in picking apart the many flaws but instead just said his movements were reminiscent of a wild beast. They scored a 20.
The 45-year-old singer and actor seemed to know his time was up. "This is a celebration tonight," Cyrus said early in the show. "I got to meet my hero, Muhammad Ali, last night. I conquered my fear. I'm happy to be here and I'm ready to go on Jimmy Kimmel."
It was Billy Ray’s time to go. For a while, the judges were entertained by Cyrus’ lack of dance skills. He always put fun before technique and he never took himself too serious. However, at this stage of the competition the dance floor belongs to the contestants who can actually dance.
The final four will dance next Monday evening. The remaining contestants are Laila Ali, Joey Fatone, Apolo Anton Ohno, and Ian Ziering.
BetUS.com has posted betting odds on who will win the hit reality TV series Dancing With the Stars 4?
Laila Ali 2/4
Joey Fatone 2/1
Apolo Anton Ohno 6/5
Ian Ziering 7/1
