Bodog Battle is back! After a successful first run, the popular competition – and soon to be hit TV series – returns this year bigger and better than ever. With an expanded list of cities across the U.S. and Canada for its North American competition, as well as a brand new competition in the UK and Europe, the Battle will rage in major cities worldwide in 2007.
Last year, Bodog Music founder Calvin Ayre had a mission: find the best unsigned band in the United States and award them a $1-million recording and marketing contract and the opportunity of a lifetime to be showcased on Bodog Television shows that air across the globe. There were no gimmicks or sign up fees, just a nationwide search for the best of the best. With the success of the first Battle and the announcement of its winner just around the corner, Ayre has decided it's time step it up notch and bring Bodog Battle to the rest of the world.
This year in the North America alone, the Bodog Battle competition grows to 60 major cities. In addition to a number of new cities in the U.S., the competition is being held across Canada in 10 cities, including: Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, London, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
For the European million-dollar competition, viewers will be able to catch shows in 12 cities, including: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, and Munich.
Bodog Battle's first shows begin in September 2007 and the competition will wind its way through various stages until the final shows-the battle to end all battles-held in Spring 2008 in Los Angeles and London. Two separate one million-dollar Bodog Music contracts will be given away to each of the competition's winners.
The Bands that are interested in participating can register their free online profile now and upload their music and video, bio, and photos to be a part of the largest competition of its kind.
