It never fails that whenever we open a magazine or turn on the television we will hear something about Britney Spears. It was recently announced that she is seeking a divorce from her husband of two years Kevin Federline.
Britney is seeking legal and physical custody of her two children with Kevin with him having visitation rights. As for money, the not so happy couple apparently have a prenuptial agreement. Spears is also waiving her right to spousal support and is also asking the judge to make each side pay for their own legal fees.

Spears has hired powerhouse celebrity divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser. Wasser has several celebs under her belt including, Angelina Jolie, Nick Lachey, and Kiefer Sutherland. There is also word that Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe asked Wasser to represent both of them in their split however she declined for personal reasons.

Federline is fighting back announcing he wants $30 million from Britney and custody of their children, Sean Preston and Jayden James. He has threatened to release a four hour sex tape the couple made early in their marriage if Britney doesn't give into his demands. He has reportedly been offered over $50 million for the tape by a company that wants to put the tape online. Spear's claims their is no sex tape but even if there was it shouldn't hurt her image because we have already seen her at her worst. Federline on the other hand, if there is in fact a tape and he does still try to demand money for it, it will hurt his chances with the judge in gaining custody of his children.

Should Britney gain custody of the children, she may possibly have their last names changed. They are both using Federline's last name and if Britney wins legal and physical custody she will probably change Sean and Jayden's last name to Spears especially after the way Federline is acting regarding the divorce. He no longer has Spears and her money to back his already failing career and because there is a prenup his portion of whatever money he has will more then likely not last a lifetime. Poor guy!
