The final four danced last night in the semi-finals round of Dancing With The Stars. Laila Ali, Joey Fatone, Apolo Anton Ohno, and Ian Ziering are competing for the title. All four are solid contenders and anyone can win. The couples were allowed to choose their own ballroom and Latin dances this week.
Apolo and Julianne chose the quickstep and the cha cha cha because they were the first two dances they performed together. Apolo wanted to show the judges how far he has come since the beginning of the competition. He was also hoping for six tens, which would make him the first contestant to receive a 60 in the semi-finals round. Apolo set the bar high with his quickstep. Len said he expected it to be good, but it was fantastic. Carrie Ann said it was perfect. They received a 30 in the first round. Apolo and Julianne performed the cha cha cha to “Push It.” It was a very sexy dance and the crowd went wild. Carrie Ann said it was “the sexiest cha cha cha ever.” Bruno loved it as well. However Len thought it was too raunchy. They received a 29, crushing Apolo’s hopes for a perfect 60. Bodog.com has betting odds of 11/10 that Apolo win win Dancing With The Stars 4.
Ian and Cheryl chose the tango for their first dance. Ian decided to seek help from a life coach to help him bring more of himself out during the dancing. Cheryl feels like it made a huge difference and says it feels like she’s dancing with a whole new Ian. They tango, and it was very much improved. Bruno and Carrie Ann find fault with it. Len, however, doesn’t know what they are talking about and says it was their best dance ever. He gives them a ten, while Bruno and Carrie Ann both gives nines, for a total of 28. For their second dance, they chose the jive. Ian comes out in full Elvis gear, including a wig. The judges love it calling their jive “incredible.” They received their best score yet, a perfect 30. Ian was beyond excited!
"I think Ian Zeiring should win because he was my secret crush on the hit show Bevelry Hills 90210," stated Point-Spreads.com Gossip Columnist Chatty Kathy. "While all the girls were obessed with Dillion or Brandon, I was in love with Steve. I even had a lifesized poster of him on the back of my bedroom door."
Joey and Kym were shocked after being in the bottom two last week. It only made them work harder this week. They chose the foxtrot for their first dance. Carrie Ann said they “won the ballroom round, hands down.” Bruno called it a “foxtrot with perfect credentials.” Joey and Kym receive tens from all three judges. Their second dance, and the final dance of the night, made the crowd go crazy. Their jive was fun and exciting. Bruno said, “You have more flash than Vegas and more tricks than Houdini!” They earn another perfect score.
Tonight, someone will be eliminated. The results show will air at 9:00 PM EST on ABC.
