Bodog Music hip-hop recording artist Bishop "The Gambling Man" Brigante is set to open for Lloyd Banks of G-unit for three dates in Canada. The pair take the stage in Saskatoon on August 2, Stratford on August 3, and Montreal on August 4. This is the second time Bishop has hit the road with a member of G-Unit, having already toured with Young Buck. G-Unit is a platinum-selling group which consists of 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck.
Bishop is also preparing for his forthcoming debut album, The Life of a Gambler, which will be released later this year on Bodog Music. Bishop recorded tracks for the album with famed urban vocalist Nate Dogg and the infamous Snoop Dogg. Bishop's career is gaining momentum and The Life of a Gambler could be the album that puts Toronto on the map in hip-hop's global expansion.
Brigante has seen much success on Much Music with his music videos "That's The Way," "6 Up," and "About 2 Change," which won the Urban World Film Festival award for Best Video of the Year in New York City. After appearing on BET's "106th & Park's Freestyle Fridays" three weeks in a row, urban music greats learned his name and loved his game. His success on the show landed him the opening spot for several Canadian tours, including dates with Busta Rhymes of Aftermath Entertainment and G-Unit's own Young Buck.
Bishop was dubbed "The Gambling Man" after representing the Bodog Music roster as a member of Team Bodog at the 2006 World Series of Poker. Bishop also wrote and performed the theme song "Wild Card" for the Bodog TV series "Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker," which originally aired on Fox Sports Net and recently re-aired to over 90 million homes on ION Television.
