Tara Conner stint in New York might be short lived. The beauty queen from Kentucky is the current Miss USA 2006 but it appears her termination is imminent. It was reported earlier this week that Conner could have her titled stripped but Donald Trump had stated that those reports were "absolutely not true."
According to TMZ.com, management for the Miss USA organization and NBC met this past Tuesday to discuss Conner and the alleged incidents of her inappropriate behavior. Of specific concern was her conduct at New York City bars.
"Tara was a party animal," a source who knows Conner told the Daily News. "I've seen them kiss before. They always dance all sexy on the tables. They definitely get close."
Another club patron described for the Daily News seeing Conner snort cocaine in one of the nightclubs. She was also spotted drinking regularity despite being underage. The Daily News claimed she failed a drug test recently.
Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants, told CNN that that Conner is "going through some personal problems and difficulties right now which could affect her ability to reign. We are right now looking into what we can do to work with her and what we will do about her reign going forward."
The 20 year old Conner was crowned Miss USA in April of 2006. Tara Conner has held the titles Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2002, Miss Kentucky USA 2006 and Miss USA 2006. She placed second runner-up in the Miss Teen USA 2002 pageant and fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe 2006 pageant.
She graduated from Russell County High School in 2004 and at the time of her Miss USA win was studying towards a degree in Business Administration from Somerset Community College.
Conner was also featured on the HDNet series Bikini Destinations in 2004, posing for the cameras in Lake Tahoe.
No decisions have been made yet by Trump or Miss USA's management.
