Since, it has emerged as one of the most anticipated programs attracting millions of viewers and holding the top spot in the ratings each week. Starting off with 10 celebrity/professional dance pairs, each week one couple is voted off by a combination of judge’s reviews as well as the votes from the viewers at home.

Each is hoping to draw as much attention to the show as did the winners of last season Drew Lachey and his professional partner, Cheryl Burke. Lachey, formerly a member of a little known boy band 98 Degrees and the younger brother of Nick Lachey, had the upper hand in the competition because his wife is a choreographer. Although she was expecting their first child during the show she would still critique Lachey’s moves and would even give Burke a few pointers.
Jerry Springer might steal the spotlight this season but he is currently a heavy underdog with the offshore oddsmakers at Pinnacle Sports. Best known for his notorious talk show, The Jerry Springer Show, he is partnered with Australian beauty, professional dancer Kym Johnson. Johnson was the champion of the Australian Dancing with the Stars. Most viewers will be tuning in to see if Springer can keep up with the rest of the crew considering he is the oldest of the bunch.
Or could Emmitt Smith be the one to take home the win? He is quite possibly filling the shoes of the second season’s runner up and fellow NFL Superstar Jerry Rice. Although Rice did not have the support of the judges, he won the hearts of the viewers at home. Smith is very likely to take that place.
Most of you may know Shanna Moekler from MTV’s reality show Meet the Barkers where she starred with her then rocker husband, Travis Barker. Barker and Moekler recently separated at the beginning of August when Barker filed for divorce. Moekler may win the sympathy vote considering how recent her separation with Barker was announced although her stint in Playboy back in 2001 may hinder her chances. She also has three young children. Atiana, her daughter with famous boxer Oscar de la Hoya, a son Landon, with Barker and another daughter Alabama, also with Barker.
