The star of “Pirates of the Caribbean”, Johnny Depp is getting married to his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. The very private ceremony is set to take place at their home in the south of France.
Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp have been together for 8 years and have two children together, Lily Rose, 7, and Jack, 4. They split their time between their villa in France and their home in Los Angeles. This is not the first time that Depp has had to plan a wedding. He has been engaged to actress Winona Ryder and Jennifer Grey and was married briefly to musician Lori Anne Allison in 1983. This is however one of his longest relationships.
Johnny Depp became popular when he starred in the movie “Edward Scissorhands” in 1990. He created a niche for himself as being dark and serious. He would consistently choose roles that would surprise critics and his fans. He achieved “superstardom” by appearing in roles such as the lead in “Ed Wood”, “Donnie Brasco”, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, and most recently “Pirates of the Caribbean”. He has been considered by many as the most versatile actor of our time although at one point in his life he found himself selling ball point pens to support his marriage to Lori Anne.

The convincing from Cage ultimately led to Depp’s appearance as in “Nightmare on Elm Street”. 3 years later he achieved fame by appearing as police officer Tom Hanson in “21 Jump Street”. He was then firmly established as an actor when he starred in Scissorhands.
Depp has also had his share of mishaps throughout his career. He was accused of selling drugs out of his own club, The Viper Room, which is where River Phoenix died of a drug overdose in 1993. The very next year Depp was arrested for trashing a New York City hotel suite as well as an arrest in London for fighting with paparazzi outside of a restaurant.
He is still, though, one of the sexiest men alive and has broken many hearts with the announcement of his marriage plans. Soon Ms. Vanessa Paradis will become Mrs. Johnny Depp whether we like it or not. It’s now only a matter of when the wedding will take place.
