 Reports are beginning to surface that British supermodel Kate Moss and her drug addict rock singer boyfriend Pete Doherty were "married" in a Buddhist wedding ceremony in Thailand on New Years Day. Pete Doherty had to tell his probation officer he was going to Thailand for the holidays due to a previous drug charge. He is currently serving a two year supervision order for drug offenses in the UK.Online sports betting site Bodog.com had posted odds of -110 that the couple will announce they were officially married by February 28th, 2007. Those bets appear to be winners at this time. The couple met at Moss's 31st birthday party at her home in Primrose Hill, North London, where Doherty presented her with the lyrics to his song, What Katie Did, written on an envelope and framed.
The couple exchanged their wedding vows before a select few friends and family members in a forty minute ceremony held at their six star hotel villa overlooking the sea. The wedding was attended by Sarah Ferguson and close family members of Moss's immediate family. A Buddhist marriage blessing is not legally binding in the UK and it is rumored that the legal marriage will take place late this month. Concerns are already arising that Doherty could be entitled to half of Kate Moss's estimated $50 million dollar fortune which was accumulated during her successful 16 year modeling career. Hopefully Kate will require a prenuptial before they officially tie the knot back in the UK.                        |
