Katie Holmes is soon to be Mrs. Tom Cruise. The wedding of the two media stars is said to be just around the corner.
Apparently Katie already has her wedding dress which was purchased on a trip to Paris with gal pal Victoria Beckham. While there the two scoped out 3 fashion shows too and purchased several other items including lots of clothes for baby Suri. After her trip in France was over, she visited Italy possibly to check out locations for her wedding. Many believe this is where the two lovebirds will have the ceremony. They have mentioned in the past that Italy would be a beautiful place to marry at the beginning of the fall season.
There is some controversy already surrounding the wedding. Katie’s parents are supposedly outraged that the nuptials will be conducted by the Church of Scientology and not in the Catholic tradition. There have also been some rumors that Katie’s family is planning on boycotting the wedding whenever and wherever it will take place. Katie was born a Roman Catholic and attended parochial schools growing up. The couple has insisted that Katie’s parents are extremely happy for the two and will continue to be happy for them no matter what type of wedding they have.

Another detail of the wedding is that Katherine McPhee of American Idol was asked to sing at the highly anticipated wedding. Reportedly, Katie met McPhee at Los Angeles’ Church of Scientology, where the singer’s attended courses with her boyfriend. Katie secretly asked Katherine after her loss in the finale of American Idol. Tom and Katie love her voice and believe that she is destined to be a singing legend.
Although TomKat has been trying to keep a low profile regarding the wedding we all know Cruise plans his moves strategically in order to create a stir around himself so one can only assume the same for his nuptials.
