Lauren Conrad goes from Sex Tape to American Idol Contestant

There is still speculation whether or not there is a sex tape of Lauren Conrad with her ex-boyfriend Jason Wahler floating around. Conrad says no, but Perez Hilton reported that Wahler was trying to sell the tape.

"Lauren tried to break into Jason's apartment to get the tape," says a mutual friend of the pair. "She was practically stalking him and calling non-stop until he finally agreed to give her the video."

Just days after the sex tape scandal was in the media, Jason Wahler was arrested in Seattle, Washington. He reportedly got into an altercation in the hotel lobby with an unknown person and then punched the security guard in the face after he told Wahler to settle down or leave the property.

Police officers were called and found Jason Wahler passed out on the third floor of the hotel. After waking him up, the former reality star lashed out calling the arresting officer "a nig**r, a fag**t, and a poor f**k." According to Officer C. DePina, Wahler also stated, "that he was rich and would have my ass." Wahler, who was described as "belligerent and hostile," allegedy threated DePina a second time, saying, "Come down to L.A. county and get your ass kicked!"

The sex tape rumors have place Lauren Conrad in a negative light this past week, but what better way to get some positive press than date an American Idol contestant? TMZ.com cameras have photographs of The Hills star, Lauren Conrad meeting Idol contestant Chris Richardson at the trendy hot spot Les Duex Friday night.
 
LC was spotted outside the club on her cell phone saying, “I’m mad at you right now, hurry up!” Moments later, Chris Richardson arrived and the two entered Les Duex, skipping the huge line.
 
The press is good for both sides. This is a good move for Lauren Conrad’s image, especially if the sex tape gets sold before Jason Wahler goes to jail. He may need the money considering the fact he has been arrested four times within a year. And who knows how long Chris Richardson will last on Idol, although he did have a good performance tonight singing “Smooth” from the legendary Latin musician Santana featuring Rob Thomas. The JT look-a-like should take advantage of his celebrity status while he has it.
