After days of confusion from actress Lindsay Lohan, it has finally been announced that she is attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He publicist confirmed on Friday her decision to get help and stated, "it's a positive thing and Lindsay hopes the media will leave her alone". Lindsay's need to party and attend night clubs has led to the tabloid stories that portray her as being a party animal and all before the age of 21.
While filming the movie "Georgia Rule" in Jiuly 2006, the producer of the film blamed Lindsay's hard partying for the reason why she showed up late or didn't show up at all on most days. Her spokesman claimed it was due to "an illness". Lindsay has also been criticized for having an eating disorder. In a 2005 Vanity Fair article, Lindsay admitted to suffering an eating disorder and bulimia then later denied her statements claiming that she "is healthy and works with a trainer to keep her in shape".

Her publicist is trying to keep under wraps which chapter of AA Lindsay is attending so that she may keep this situation private. "My fear is who's the big idiot to out which chapter she goes to", Leslie Sloane, Lindsay's publicists said to the Associated Press. Sloane added that Lindsay made the decision on her own to start attending meetings then said, "by the way, she is not saying that she will stop drinking tomorrow, she is aware this is a slow process".
What could have possibly prompted Lohan is the fact that recently she wrote a statement about the death of Robert Altman who directed her in "A Prairie Home Companion". Lindsay was ridiculed for the shaky letter which included lots of grammatical errors and mispellings. Her publicists claims she wrote it will "on the fly" on her Blackberry. Many believe she was under the influence of alcohol and that upset Lindsay to hear.

Her publicist feels that nobody will ever leave her alone no matter what she does however everything she has been doing is negative.
