Michael Jackson May Appear on American Idol

Rumors are swirling that Michael Jackson will make a guest appearance on American Idol this season.  Producers of Idol have not confirmed or denied the news.  Bodog.com has posted betting odds at -120 that Jackson will appear on the hit show.    
 
RealityTVMagazine.com says there are “several signs” that the King of Pop will have his own themed week.  There definitely won’t be a shortage of songs to choose from. Jackson has recorded 13 number-one singles.
 
American Idol Producers have hinted at a “big event show” this season. Having a major pop icon like Michael Jackson appear on the show would be huge.  He would take part in helping the contestants on their performances and well as offer advice.    
 
The King of Pop has met with American Idol creator Simon Fuller to help him revive his own career.  Jackson has been laying low, living in Bahrain since his child abuse trial. Making an appearance on Idol could be a step in the right direction for him.
 
While discussing secrecy issues on the show, Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe made a comment saying they didn’t want a contestant to "slip out with somebody telling their mom that Michael Jackson is coming."This is not confirmation that Michael Jackson is coming, but it sure does have all the Idol fan’s attention.

The men are: Rudy Cardenas, Jared Cotter, Jason “Sundance” Head, Paul Kim, Blake Lewis, Sanjaya Malakar, Nicholas Pedro, Chris Richardson, Brandon Rogers, Philip Stacy, and A.J. Tabaldo.
