Bodog Music recording artist, Bif Naked, is thrilled to announce her engagement to Vancouver Sun sports scribe, Ian Walker. The proposal took place during an intimate dinner where, surrounded by close friends and family, Bif Naked received the best dessert ever: It came in the form of a blue box on a silver platter. With tears of joy, the Vancouver-based singer accepted Walker's proposal. The couple's exclusive nuptials will take place later this fall in an undisclosed location in their hometown of Vancouver.
Walker and Bif Naked originally met at their local gym, though it wasn't until last December's Vancouver mixed martial arts pay-per-view event put on by Bodog Fight that the two really connected. Bif Naked, who was the emcee for the event, noticed Walker, who was ringside in the press pit, Triple covering Bodog Fight for the Vancouver Sun.
"He kept smiling at me, so finally I went over during a filming break and gave him a piece of candy," Bif Naked said. "Later, Ian asked me if I would go to the after-party. I turned him down! But he never gave up. He asked me out countless times thereafter. I kept saying no. Finally, I gave in, and I'm extremely glad I did. He is a fantastic person, and I'm very lucky!"
Bif Naked, who is best known for her hit singles, Moment of Weakness, Lucky Ones, Spaceman and I Love Myself Today, is busy writing her latest album. Most recently, she hosted Bodog Fight, a mixed martial arts promotions and television series, which is aired on major networks around the globe. She is also a featured judge, alongside Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols and Billy Duffy of the Cult, on Bodog Battle, the international $1 million dollar band search competition put on by Bodog Music.
The soon to be married Walker is a seven year veteran journalist of the Vancouver Sun, who is best known for his Adrenalin sports column pieces, including his ongoing columns on the semi-pro Vancouver Giants hockey club. Walker is a surfer, body builder, race car and mixed martial arts enthusiast, and even shares Bif's love for her two dogs: Nick & Anna – an important distinction, Bif admits, and the truest way to her heart.
