Paris Hilton dropped the appeal against her 45-day jail sentence. Her jail time has already been reduced to 23 days. Jail officials gave Hilton credit for good behavior. There are several factors involved when calculating good behavior, including the fact that Hilton appeared at her latest court date."All inmates get credit for good behavior," Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said. "The inmate knows that if they behave and follow the rules, that's something to shoot for." Bodog.com has odds at 4/1 that Hilton will spend between 0-2 nights in jail. Paris Hilton recently changed legal teams and is now being represented by high-profile attorney Richard Hutton. Hutton specializes in defending drunk driving cases. Katherine Roberts, a court spokeswoman, said Hutton notified the Los Angeles County Superior Court that Hilton was dropping her appeal. Paris must report to jail by June 5. However, she may show up at any time unannounced. Most inmates are processed between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Whitmore has warned media against infiltrating the jail to get unauthorized pictures of Paris Hilton. "This is not an e-ticket ride at Disneyland,” he said. “This is a serious matter. Anyone who takes advantage of this situation will face appropriate consequences." Hilton will be separated from the general inmate population and held in a “special needs housing unit” reserved for celebrities, police officers, and public officials. She will be granted one hour per day to shower, watch television, talk on the phone or work out. Paris can still hope for an early release due to overcrowding.
