Paris Hilton will not have to serve 45 days in jail. A judge has reduced her sentence from 45 days to 23 days. Jail officials have recognized Hilton with good behavior merely because she showed up for her recent court date.
Hilton will serve her time separated from the general inmate population. The special unit contains 12 two-person cells reserved for celebrities, police officers, and other high-profile inmates.
“She will do fine if she follows the rules," Whitmore said, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Paris will have to spend 23 hours a day in her cell like the rest of the 2,200 people in the facility. She will only be given one hour per day to shower, watch television, work out, or talk on the phone. BetUS.com has odds at +500 that Paris will publish a Jailhouse workout video.
Paris Hilton was originally sentenced to 45 days in jail after violating probation stemming from an alcohol related reckless driving incident. Hilton pleaded no contest to the DUI charges last September and was sentenced to three years probation and subsequently had her license suspended. She was pulled over three times and caught driving on a suspended license. On May 5 she was sentenced to 45 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation.
Hilton’s attorney filed an appeal last week. He has yet to comment on the reduced sentenced. Hilton’s publicist, Elliot Mintz, had no comment.
