The Soprano’s Final Episode: Bodog.com pays off on Tony Sopranos’ survival

The Soprano’s Final Episode: Bodog.com pays off on Tony Sopranos’ survivalA week before the Soprano’s final episode we, at Point-Spreads.com, thought we had it figured out. And now that the finale has aired, we see we were pretty close. We thought Tony Soprano would survive with his family intact. The mob-war with the New York bunch headed by Phil Leotardo didn’t turn out to be much of a war at all. We predicted Leotardo would not survive, he didn't,  and Tony would ride off into the sunset with his family intact. We were pretty much on the money there.

Online sportsbook Bodog.com posted odds on the final Soprano’s episode and we tried to beat the bookies by telling you what we thought would happen. We hit on all but one prop, going 4-1. Now that it’s all over, let’s review how we did.

Prop 1. Will Tony Soprano survive the final episode of Sopranos?

A YES bet might have cost you -150 but it was a solid wager. Yes Tony Soprano survived without a scratch.

Cha-Ching…We are 1-0

Prop 2. Will Paulie Walnuts survive the final episode?

We had a hard time with this one but in the end we said Paulie survives. Oddsmakers also thought Paulie would live out the episode and he did. A YES wager, also expensive at -170, paid off.

Cha-Ching-2-0

Prop 3. Will Phil Leotardo survive the final episode of Sopranos?

Get-outa-here…no way Phil Survives…and he doesn’t with a crunch. Another expensive bet at -160 but it paid off.

Cha-Ching- 3-0

Prop 4. If either is killed, who will be killed first, Phil Leotardo or Tony Soprano?

This was an easy one. We all thought Phil Leotardo was a dead duck but so did oddsmakers with a -180 line.

Cha-Ching- 4-0

Prop-5, the final prop: Will Silvio Dante wake up during the final episode of the Sopranos?

Awwww-Shucks! When Tony went to visit Sil in the hospital we thought for sure Tony would speak to him and Sil would open an eye. This prop was our only bust of the night. We said YES he wakes up and he didn’t.  Oddsmakers were split on this one installing both yes and no with -120 odds.

In the end we go 4-1 and based on the $50 minimum we cashed for a nice profit. We hope you had fun with us.
