The 10th season of Amazing Race aired in September and already with the first episode, favorites were chosen. There are now 7 teams left in the running for the top prize.
David and Mary, a married couple from Stone, Kentucky met over 10 years ago and has been inseparable ever since. David, a coal miner and Mary, a stay at home mom, have 3 children together. They say their main reason for being on the show is to expand their horizons and to see what the world holds outside of their home state. At this point in the race the team is behind and hasn’t made up the difference yet. They are not likely to win but have won the hearts of viewers thus far.
Dustin and Kandice met while rooming together during the Miss America pageant. They struck a close bond but initially were rivals at first. Though they haven’t really been on top yet they are proving themselves to be competition. They both are determined to win at any cost and it’s only a matter of time before that characteristic will affect the other teams.

Residing in San Francisco, brother Erwin and Godwin are both extremely competitive and overachievers. Godwin feels that his Harvard educated older brother created a shadow for him that he has never been able to get away from until now. He is hoping the show will allow him to showcase his abilities and that soon enough his brother will appreciate that he is just as capable. In the meantime, they are creating a stronger brotherly bond that just may be strong enough to get them to the top.
Lyn and Karlyn are both single parents and have been best friends since 9th grade. They refer to themselves as the “Black Debutantes” of the show and intend to compete with style, class, and dignity. This will be the first time each has been able to travel to all parts of the world. They are very resourceful and have an amazing ability to improvise which has worked this far into the new season.
New couple Peter and Sarah are both Ironman Competitors and have known each other for 7 years. They recently started dating after they realized they had unresolved feelings for the other. Given their background for the Ironman Competitions they are both mentally and physically able to achieve a top spot in this competition. They have proven themselves so far and have gained favoritism with some of the viewers.
Rob and Kimberly have been dating for 2 years now and live in Los Angeles, CA. They recently decided to move in together. They are in the race to see if their relationship can withstand the pressure and intensity of traveling around the world competitor style. They both love to compete and are ready for the trip of a lifetime.
Tyler and James are frontrunners at this point in the competition. They both have had their share of tough roads growing up including addiction problems. They found themselves at rehab facilities and have since gained sobriety. They have a lot of traveling experience which gives them a leg up on the competition but is their good looks and huge smiles enough to take them to the end? We will need to stay tuned to find out who will be the winners of Amazing Race Season 10.
