Kevin Federline's ex Shar Jackson is defending her one time boyfriend against the ridiculing he has been receiving from the media. "He is such a nice guy", she said in an interview with Inside Edition. "He has made some mistakes but everybody else doesn't have the whole world pointing their finger at their mistakes", she added.
Jackson and Federline have two children together. Shar was pregnant with their two year old son when she found out through the media that he was seeing Britney Spears. They also have a 4 year old daughter together. Shar claims that now that some time has passed since he left her hanging with two children, she realizes that the most important thing is that he is a wonderful father and that he just wanted to be happy.

Spears recently filed divorce papers which apparently was a surprise to Federline. He said he found out at the same time everyone else did, when the media announced it the day after her surprise appearance on David Letterman's The Late Show. It had been noticed that the two had been having marital problems for some time. The tabloids had announced months ago that a seperation was near. Spears is seeking full custody their children together, 1 year old Sean Preston and Jayden James who was born on September 12th.

Federline is making his rounds right now promoting his debut hip hop album, "Playing With Fire". He has filed for sole custody of his children with Britney and is also seeking spousal support. He has threatened that if Britney fails to give into his demands he will release a damaging sex tape the two filmed while on their honeymoon in 2004. Britney's rep claims there is no such tape and has also stated that Federline's threats will be perceived as harrassment and will be used against him should it have to go that far.
