Paris Hilton has less than a month remaining before she will reluctantly enter the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California. Last week, a judge ordered Hilton to serve a 45-day jail sentence after she violated her probation from an alcohol-related reckless driving charge last year. Hilton’s attorney has submitted an appeal.
If Paris Hilton’s appeal is denied, she will be forced to serve the time. BetUS.com has odds at +500 that Paris Hilton will announce that jail is hot. She will share a cell with another inmate and be forced to eat prison food. Take out orders from Mr. Chow’s will not be allowed. Hilton will have one hour per day to leave her cell to shower, watch TV, work out, or use the communal pay phone. She’ll also be forced to wear a blue, orange, or stripped jumpsuit.
If Paris follows all the rules and demonstrates good behavior, she will be eligible for a “Good Time/Work Time” credit. According to the federal mandate, every four days an inmate spends behind bars “in an acceptable manner,” will count as six days. So Hilton is looking at spending at least 39 days behind bars.
It is unlikely the socialite will benefit from the early release program for non-violent offenders used to ease overcrowding in Los Angeles jails. Former Lost actress, Michelle Rodriguez was released after only serving 2 hours of a 60-day sentence last year. However, Judge Michael T. Sauer excluded Hilton from the program and ordered she is not allowed to negotiate an alternative form of punishment.
