 On Easter Sunday, everyone will want to know which star of the Sopranos will get whacked first? The final season of the runaway mob hit kicks off on HBO this Sunday at 9 PM EST with only nine remaining episodes left in the series. The end has been a long time coming and everyone is wondering what will happen during the second half of Season 6.
In Part 1 of Season 6, Tony was shot by his demented Uncle Junior. After having a near death experience where he has a bizarre dream that he is an ordinary salesman, Tony survives the accident. BetUS has betting odds at +300 that Tony will kill Uncle Junior in Part 2 of Season 6.
There has been so much hype and expectation about the end of the series. Who will live and who will die? More importantly, who will be whacked first? BetUS has betting odds that the following characters will be whacked first: +850 for Tony Soprano, +200 for Christopher Moltisanti, +700 for Silvio "Sil" Dante, and +400 for Paulie Walnuts. The Sopranos made its debut in 1999 and literally put HBO on the map. At the time, reality based shows were taking over the networks. HBO gave us a complex story about an upper middle class American mob family living in North Jersey. Surely the majority of viewers could not relate to this story, but it was captivating and kept people tuning in each week to see who would be whacked next.
The Sopranos also paved the way for other HBO original series’ that may not have ever hit the television screen if it weren’t for the show, such as Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Rome and Big Love.
Part 2 of Season 6 is set to open with law enforcement banging on Tony Soprano’s front door. Carmela sits up in bed and says, “Is this it?” Tony’s fate will be revealed in the last nine episodes of the series. In an interview several years ago, Sopranos creator David Chase said he had an ending in mind for the character.
