The Eagles are racked with talent in their receiving core and have one of the best quarterbacks in the league that has been to the playoffs many times. With WR’s DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin the Eagles top pair are slippery to catch and are tough man-to-man covers. TE Brent Celek is Donovan McNabb’s most reliable receiver who fights for every inch of yardage; he might be the best receiving tight end in the playoffs, he has 978 yards receiving and eight TD’s during the regular season. Slot receiver Jason Avant has shown he can add to their offense as their fourth best receiver after gaining McNabb’s trust. Donovan McNabb has thrown for 3,553 yards with 22 TD passes and 10 interceptions for a 92.9 passer rating. The Eagles offense is currently ranked 11th overall averaging 357 total yards per-game and they put up the fifth most points per-game (26.8). They have the 10th best pass game in the league thanks to WR DeSean Jackson’s 1,167 yards receiving and 12 TD’s. The Eagles have protection issues and can't/don't run the ball effectively. Their 22nd ranked running game was expected to struggle with RB Brian Westbrook sidelined with a concussion in Weeks 11 through 15. RB LeSean McCoy has filled in nicely as a two way running back and currently has 637 yards rushing with four TD’s and as a receiver he’s caught for 308 yards.  The Eagles meet Dallas again in the playoffs and despite losing to Dallas during their final regular season game, the Eagles have the slim advantage. Dallas played their best game and can’t really improve, while the Eagles can watch tape, find their mistakes, and improve.

On defense the Eagles aren't the physical squad that we're used to, but they're still good. The Eagles defense is currently ranked 12th overall giving up the 19th most points per-game (21.2). Against the pass the Eagles have solid corners, but they give up long passes because they gamble at times. Their currently ranked 17th against the pass and against the high powered teams that are in the playoffs, they’ll have to step it up. On a good note CB Asante Samuel leads with a high nine interceptions, with two in his last three games. Their seventh ranked rush defense is also shaky and opposing tight ends have had some big games. Their top defenders are DE’s Trent Cole, Jaquan Parker and Darren Howard with a combined 25.5 sacks and 92 tackles.

Their field goal kicker David Akers was the 10th best kicker in the league during the regular season making 32 of 37 adding an extra 96 points for the Eagles.
