New Orleans (-10.5) at Seattle (O/U-45.5) – The Saints (11-5) (6-2 V) lost to Tampa Bay 13-23, at home, ending the regular season going 1-2 SU, during their final three games. QB Drew Brees completed 22 of 38 passes for 196 yards with one TD and one interception. RB Reggie Bush had nine carries for 70 yards, while top WR Adrian Arrington made seven catches for 79 yards. TE Jimmy Graham added their lone TD. Their defense got no interceptions and three sacks. The Saints are a dome team, but their O-line will allow them to run when they have to, regardless of the climate — as long as RB Pierre Thomas stays healthy. Defensive coordinators hate going against Sean Payton and Drew Brees because of their aggressiveness in scheming and executing matchup advantages, which they have, offensively, over every team in the NFC. They must watch for Seattle’s home field advantage, which is notorious for false starts. Many teams that have played at Q-West field have used speakers to train for the noise. The Saints are ranked sixth on offense (372ypg) with a third ranked pass game (277ypg) and a 28th ranked ground game (94ypg). The Saints score the 11th most points per-game (24ppg). Lance Moore leads the Saints offense with eight TD’s. The Saints go up against the Seahawks 27th ranked defense (368ypg), their 27th ranked pass rush (249ypg) and their 21st ranked rush defense (118ypg). The Seahawk allow the 25th most amount of points per-game (25.4ppg). Earl Thomas leads the Seahawks with five interceptions.

The Seahawks (7-9) (5-3 H) beat St.Louis 16-6, at home, and clinched the NFC West. QB Charlie Whitehurst completed 22 of 36 passes for 192 yards with a TD and he rushed for 30 yards off eight carries. RB Marshawn Lynch had 20 carries for 75 yards, and top WR Ruvell Martin made three catches for 85 yards. WR Mike Williams added their only TD. Their defense had three sacks and one interception. Pete Carroll thought it was "pretty cool" to be going to the playoffs with a losing record. "There are no apologies for making it into the playoffs. The easiest way to make it to the playoffs is to win your division, period, point-blank," Seattle safety Lawyer Milloy said. "We did that." It was Seattle’s defense that showed up. Seattle's defense that allowed at least 34 points in four of its last five games, suddenly showed a backbone, making St. Louis' conservative offensive approach seem even slower. The Rams managed just 63 yards in the second half and, with the exception of a fumble recovered at the Seattle 21, didn't even cross midfield until midway through the fourth quarter. The Seahawks have a 28th ranked offense (297ypg) with a 19th ranked pass game (208ypg) and the NFL’s second worst ranked running game (89ypg). They score the 23rd least amount of points per-game (19.4ppg). Marshawn Lynch has six TD’s for the Seahawks. The Seahawks battle the Saints fourth ranked defense (306ypg), their fourth ranked pass rush (193ypg) and their 16th ranked rush defense (112ypg). The Saints defense gives up the seventh least amount of points per-game (19.2ppg).
