The Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans will square off against each other in the NFL divisional playoffs today at 4:30pm ET at LP Field in Nashville, TN. The big game will be televised live on CBS. NFL Playoff picks at online bookmaker SBGglobal.com are favoring the host Titans -3 against the spread.
Titans Breakdown: The Titans finished the regular season with a league best 13 wins, a feat that earned them the AFC South title and the number one seed in the playoffs. They sat out of last week's action with a first round bye, which they hope afforded defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Vanden Bosch time to recover from fairly significant injuries. The down time, however, was not enough for center Kevin Mawae, who will miss today's game as a result of a December 21st elbow injury.
Tennessee went 7-1 this year at LP Field, where they held opposing offenses to an average of 16.6 points per game. However, the Titans lost two of their last three regular season games, including a 0-23 drubbing at Indianapolis in their finale.
Ravens Breakdown: Baltimore entered last week's Wild Card game as the sixth seed in the AFC Playoffs, but they played more like a one seed. The Ravens dominated the Dolphins in their 27-9 victory, holding Tony Sparano's team to just 276 yards of offense and forcing them into five costly turnovers. Baltimore, now 12-5, has won nine of their last 11 games.
The Ravens are 6-3 on the road this season, counting last week's Wild Card win in Miami, and they have averaged 25.8 points per game away from home. Baltimore's last four road wins have been by an average of 21.5 points.
NFL Playoff Picks Betting Trend: The Over is 7-3 in Baltimore's last 10 games as an underdog.
