Now that the NFL results of the Divisional Playoffs are in there is no shortage of odds prognosticators wanting to pick who is going to end up in the Super Bowl. With the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys unexpectedly losing, some feel that it has just about solidified New England as this year’s winner. Certainly there can be an argument made to that effect but, outside of New England’s 17 wins in a row, left in the playoffs are two other teams who have been red hot down the stretch. We have the New York Giants who have won and unbelievable 8 games in a row on the road and the San Diego Chargers who have won their last 8 overall. Still, the general public doesn’t seem to be all that impressed when we take a look at the Odds to win the Super Bowl at SBGglobal.com
New England Patriots
To no one’s surprise, at least not mine, the New England Patriots are the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl as they are listed at -425 on the money line. With Brady coming off an amazing 26 of 28 performance this past weekend one has to wonder if they can actually be beat.
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers are playing some of their best ball of the season but get the unfortunate task of having to beat the Patriots this weekend. As a result the Chargers are listed at +700 on the money line to take home the Lombardi trophy.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers have had an excellent season and are coming off a solid win over Seattle. Although you could argue that Seattle only played three teams with a winning record this year (and two of them were in the playoffs) so was Green Bay’s success all that surprising? This week they will take on a team who seems to love the road. But none the less then are the second odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl listed at +500 on the Money line.
New York Giants
Coming off a huge win over one of their most hated rivals you have to wonder if they will have anything left in the tank. But they seem to love the road and have played in poor weather conditions in the past. The big question will be whether or not Eli can make it three good games in a row? Apparently the public thinks his luck has run out as the Giants are a rather larger +1350 dog on the money line to end up this year’s Champion.
