The Ravens won in New England last week 33-14. QB Joe Flacco lacked in the pass department making only four of 10 passes for a low 34 yards. Instead we all saw the break out running game of RB Ray Rice. Ray Rice opened up the game with an 83-yard touchdown run up the middle on the game's first play from scrimmage, from then on it was all Ravens. He went on to finish with 159 yards and two TD’s on 22 carries. With a struggling passing game, the Ravens rely on their two dimensional running game thanks to the tandem of RB’S Ray Rice and Willis McGahee . Ray Rice’s 1,498 yards rushing and nine TD’s, has emerged as one of the best all-purpose backs in the league. RB Willis McGahee is also getting it done; he has 606 yards rushing and is their main scorer with 14 TD’s. They have the fifth best ground game in the league that usually averages 137 yards a game. Well, Rice and McGahee ran over the Pats last week for 210 yards. Their running game will be up against the Colts 25th ranked rush defense, that gave up an average 196.3 rushing yards in their last three games. Those teams were the Jaguars, Jets and Bills. They aren’t likely to use their 18th ranked pass game, but they might get a few in against the Colts 14th ranked pass defense. Their top WR Derrick Mason has 1,036 yards receiving and seven TD’s and needs to be at his best against some of the leagues better cornerbacks and safeties.  The Ravens have never allowed a 100-yard rusher in 11 playoff games, the third-longest active streak in the NFL . But, the remaining teams left fighting for the 2010 Superbowl are high powered offensive teams that thrive on throwing the ball. Linebacker Ray Lewis, among the more better players in the postseason, he leads a group that makes big stops and is capable of coming up with big plays. Their weakness is a secondary that allows too many long plays, which could pose a serious problem in the playoffs against passing teams. The Ravens are 5-5 SU on the road while averaging 21.6ppg and allowing 20ppg. The Ravens are 3-0 SU all-time on the road and tied the Cowboys with the most playoff wins in a decade on the road (six).

The Colts have dropped their last two games while resting many of their starters and as history has shown, that’s not a good thing to do. The Colts are 0-3 SU when they have a first-round bye with Manning, losing all three times in the divisional round . In each of those years, the Colts rested Manning for at least part of the game in the regular-season finale. They took the same tact this season. Will it finally work? Peyton Manning and his ninth ranked offense will have to be at their best against the Ravens third ranked defense, that has been solid in their last four games. The Colts have the league’s second best pass game thanks to top WR Reggie Wayne’s 1,246 yards receiving and 10 TD’s. Manning has multiple game-breakers in Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. The five above mentioned receivers have a combined 31 TD’s. His offensive line has overcome injuries to remain mostly solid; they are doing great at protecting their captain. If the Colts have a weakness on offense it’s their league worst running game that averages a paltry 80 yards a game. RB Joseph Addai leads their ground game with 839 yards rushing and he’s their TD leader with 13. The Colts are trying to become the second straight team to advance to the Super Bowl despite having the league's worst rushing attack. The Colts had several wobbly games on the way to 14-0 and simply haven't looked as consistently dominant as their AFC competitors, the Chargers. But we’re talking about Peyton Manning here! Their overall defense is ranked 18th overall while allowing the eight least amount of points per-game (19.2). Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis form one of the better end duos in the league, combined they have 20 sacks and 44 tackles. Linebackers Gary Brackett and Clint Session are talented playmakers who usually can be found in the vicinity of the football causing forced fumbles. The Colts are 7-1 SU at home where they’ve averaged 23.9ppg and allowed 19.5ppg.
