Dallas Cowboys 2010 Superbowl Picks, Odds & PredictionsThe Cowboys won their first playoff game in 13 seasons after pounding the Philadelphia Eagles 34-14. QB Tony Romo made 23 of 35 passes for 244 yards with two TD passes. RB Felix Jones was unstoppable having 16 carries for 148 yards with a TD, while RB Tashard Choice also ran in a TD. Their receivers were all over the Eagles; WR Miles Austin made seven catches for 82 yards with a TD, while WR Roy Williams made five catches for 59 yards. TE John Phillips added a one yard TD catch. RB Felix Jones dynamic running complemented a very productive passing attack that accumulated 228 yards. The Cowboys controlled this game from the start, but it was the difference in first downs that really showed just how dominant Dallas was overall. The Cowboys finished with 27 first downs, compared to just 17 for Philadelphia, and in the first half the Cowboys had 21 to the Eagles' five. The Cowboys also controlled the clock by running the ball more, they held the ball for almost 40 minutes and ran 70 plays to only 52 for Philadelphia. On offense the Cowboys QB Tony Romo has drastically improved during their last four games. Romo is taking few gambles with his throws, and ball security has been a big reason for Dallas' late-season success. He’s thrown just five interceptions in his last 11 games and has made 24 TD passes. His O-line is giving him time to throw to his reliable receivers and their running game is moving the chains. He relies heavily on TE Jason Witten, No. 1 WR Miles Austin, while the resurged WR Roy Williams is getting it done. They currently have the second best offense in the league , averaging almost 400 total yards a game. They have the sixth best passing game, led by WR Miles Austin’s 1,402 yards receiving and 12 TD’s. They have the seventh best ground game, led by RB Marion Barber, but Felix Jones is their guy in the playoffs. Their offense is averaging 20.2ppg overall and on the road they allow an average 17.4ppg.

On defense the Cowboys are as solid as ever. Dallas is making life troublesome for opposing quarterbacks with Brady James, Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware living in the backfield . Between Ware and Spencer, they have a combined 20.5 sacks with 105 tackles. In their last three games their defense has given up only 14 points. They have the ninth best defense in the league that allows the second least amount of points per-game (15.6). They are ranked 20th against the pass and are the fourth best team at stopping the rush. Their pass defense will have to be as good, if not better, against the remaining high powered pass teams left in the playoffs.

Their next opponent is the Minnesota Vikings, on the road.
