The San Francisco 49ers are back in the NFC Championship game after beating Green Bay on Saturday, while the Atlanta Falcons barely squeaked out a last second win against Seattle on Sunday. The 49ers will travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons, Sunday Jan 20, in the NFC Championship final. Here are the San Francisco 49ers vs Atlanta Falcons 2013 NFC Championship Point Spreads. NFL oddsmakers have listed the 49ers as -3.5 point road favorites over the Falcons with the over/under set at 48 points. Get the current 2013 Super Bowl Betting Lines now.
The Niners (12-4, 5-3 V) are going back to the NFC Championship Game after a 45-31 home victory over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night. QB Colin Kaepernick ran for a quarterback playoff-record 181 yards and two touchdowns and threw two scoring passes to WR Michael Crabtree. San Francisco had 579 total yards, 323 on the ground.
Colin Kaepernick is a true double threat and it will be on full display against the Falcons. The 49ers’ quarterback was brilliant against the Packers, and he’s making those around him better. He has turned Michael Crabtree (nine catches, 119 yards, 2 TDs) into a weapon and freed up space for Frank Gore (119 rushing yards).
The Falcons’ ability to control Kaepernick could be compromised because of a key injury in Sunday’s game. DE John Abraham, 34, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, exited in the second quarter after aggravating an ankle injury he sustained Dec. 30. Abraham led the Falcons with 10 sacks and six forced fumbles. Without Abraham, Atlanta allowed 298 yards, 18 first downs and four touchdowns in the second half.

The Falcons (14-3, 8-1 H) defeated the gutty Seattle Seahawks 30-28, at home, in an NFC divisional playoff game Sunday. Matt Bryant kicked a 49-yard field goal with 8 seconds left for the win as the Falcons bounced back after blowing a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch scored on a 2-yard run with 31 seconds left and it appeared over for the Falcons. But Matt Ryan completed two long passes after the kickoff, setting up Bryant’s winning kick and sending the Falcons to the NFC championship game for only the third time in franchise history.
The Falcons have to play like they did in the first three quarters against Swattle. Matt Ryan was sharp, and their defense stood up to Marshawn Lynch and escaped two red-zone situations. But offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter got conservative, and the defense exhaled. They can’t do either against the 49ers. Not if they want to win.
