Dallas Cowboys 2010 Superbowl Line, Predictions & Picks: The Dallas Cowboys will look to win their fifth straight game today and their first Divisional round contest since the 1995 Playoffs. The Cowboys are generating as much or more buzz than any of the other playoff squads, but having to go through Minneapolis and New Orleans makes their Miami prospects seem light years away. They are still one of the favorites to crash Super Bowl XLIV, though, as their Dallas Cowboys 2010 Superbowl Line, Predictions & Picks at SPORTSBETTING.com has them listed at 5 to 1 odds to win their sixth Lombardi Trophy.
The Cowboys impressive play continued last weekend as they rolled the Eagles in a Wild Card clash at Dallas. Wade Phillips'
squad was the favorite going in and they easily covered the four point spread, winning 34-14. The great balance the Cowboys possess, which is big reason many feel they have what it takes to make it to Miami, was on full display in the easy victory. Dallas racked up 426 total yards as both the passing and running games performed well, and the Pokes defense limited the Eagles to 17 first downs and 2-of-11 on third down.
Now Phillips will have to generate that same balance on the road, where his team will have to deal with the most raucous crowd it has encountered this season. Dallas performed well away from home, going 5-3 and winning by an average of 3 points per game, but things will be turned up a notch against the Vikings, and the Saints, if the Cowboys are fortunate enough to advance to the NFC Championship.
Turnovers are the great equalizer in football, often allowing poor and medicore teams to keep pace with or even beat superior competition. The NFL Playoffs chew teams up that turnover the ball over because those teams are affording excellent opposition multiple opportunites to score. The Cowboys, despite their talent, cannot cough up the ball against Minnesota and expect to move onto to a shot at Super Bowl glory. The key to cashing on a Dallas Super Bowl bet will be the offensive line's abillty to keep defenders out of Tony Romo's face and off of his back. Romo is a cool customer most of the time, but he, like all quarterbacks, can make some horrendous mistakes when under durress.
