2010 Super Bowl Predictions: The New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts are set to do battle this Sunday, February 7th at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida. The league's two top teams are set to kickoff at 6:25pm ET on CBS in what should be an entertaining tussle for the Lombardi Trophy. Odds makers at online sportsbook BetUS.com presently have the Colts listed as a -4.5 against the spread favorite in their latest 2010 Super Bowl Predictions.

Saints Breakdown: New Orleans wonderful regular season, one which saw them go 13-3 and secure the top seed in the NFC 2010 Super Bowl PredictionsPlayoffs, culminated in a trip to Super Bowl XLIV as the Saints took out the Vikings 31-28 at the Superdome on January 24th. The game was anything but pretty for New Orleans, which gave up 31 first downs and 475 yards of offense to Minnesota, but pretty does not always count in the NFL.

The win over the Vikings was preceded by a 45-14 thrashing of the defending NFC Champion Cardinals in the Divisional Round. The Saints offense, which managed a meager 15 first downs and 257 totals yards against Minnesota, cranked 27 first downs and 418 yards in dispatching Arizona.

New Orleans offense finished up the regular season ranked first in yards and points per game, at 403.8 and 31.9 respectively, while its defense ranked 25th in yards (357.8) and 20th in points per game allowed (21.3).

Colts Breakdown: Indianapolis brought its record to a league best 16-2 two weekends ago with a 30-17 victory over the New York Jets in the AFC Championship Game. The Colts offense produced 27 first downs and 461 yards against the league's top ranked defense to earn its second trip to the Super Bowl in the last four years.

Indy, which lost its last two regular season games, bested the Baltimore Ravens 20-3 in the Divisional Round at Lucas Oil Stadium prior to disposing of the surprising Jets.

The Colts defense has continued its trend of stellar postseason play as it allowed just 20 points, 29 first downs, and 658 total yards in victories over Baltimore and New York. During the regular season Indianapolis' defense yielded an average of 18.2 points, 338 yards, and 20 first downs per game.

2010 Super Bowl Betting Trend: Over the last five years -3.5 to -6.5 favorites coming off back to back wins, which scored between 29 – 35 points in their last game, are 7-2 straight up and against the spread.
