2009 Summary: Secured last place in the NFC East with a 4-12 record.
2010 Washington Redskins Needs: Offensive Tackle, Safety, Guard, Linebacker, Cornerback
Possible First Round Picks:
Russell Okung (OT – Oklahoma State): Okung may not make it past Detroit, but if he does, the Redskins are almost certain to grab him. Long considered the top offensive line prospect in this year's draft class, Okung is an immediate starter for the Redskins, stepping in for the recently retired Chris Samuels. Would make a great blindside protector for Donovan McNaab.
Eric Berry (FS – Tennessee): Berry might be tempting for Shanahan and company given his play making ability, especially if the Lions do indeed nab Okung. Washington's pass defense ranked an abysmal 24th last season and the unit produced a paltry 11 interceptions. To say they could use a talent like Berry is an understatement.
Trent Williams (OT – Oklahoma): Williams worked his way into the number two tackle prospect on most draft boards after the combine and the Redskins might have a tough decision on their hands if Okung is gone. Berry could be a game changer but Williams is just a tick below Okung and could be a longtime fixture at left tackle for Washington.
