NFL Draft 2010: This year's draft will be all about depth for the Saints, which are fresh off of their first Super Bowl win. New Orleans brilliant season has relegated them to the 32nd pick in tonight's first round, but the team is, no doubt, happy with the exchange.

2009 Summary: Finished first in the NFC South with a 13-3 record. Won the Super Bowl, beating the Colts 31-17.
2010 New Orleans Saints Needs: Linebacker, Safety, Defensive End, Running Back, Offensive Line
Possible First Round Picks:
Jerry Hughes (LB/DE – TCU): New Orleans had a respectable sack total last season with 35; however, they could use a difference maker in the defensive line rotation. Hughes could be that guy as he was a sack master at TCU over the past two seasons. Great value if he is still around at the end of the first.
Everson Griffin (DE – USC): Still a little raw as an underclassmen, but Griffin has great potential as his 43 tackles and seven sacks last year would indicate. Would immediately join the line rotation with a chance to start late in the season or in 2011.
Toby Gerhart (RB – Stanford): Reggie Bush has proven that he is most effective in the 8 to 10 carry range and Pierre Thomas, while an effective rusher, could use some additional help. Most draftniks have Gerhart going in the second or third round, but he is the type of player that could help right away in the Big Easy. Isn't that what most teams want in a first round pick?
