NFL Preseason Week 1 Odds: The Buffalo Bills and Tennessee Titans got the NFL Preseason underway last night in Canton, Ohio. The Titans won the game 21-18 to cap off the NFL's Hall of Fame weekend. The full slate of NFL Preseason Week 1 Odds action, however, will start on Thursday night with four games, including a rematch between Super Bowl squads Arizona and Pittsburgh.2009 NFL Preseason Week 1 Odds

Also on Thursday's docket is a neighborly battle between the Redskins and the Ravens. Washington, which is presently listed as a +3 against the spread dog at BetUS.com, went 8-8 in Jim Zorn's first season with club largely due to an ineffective offense. The team enters the preseason hoping that Jason Campbell has fully absorbed Zorn's system. The former Auburn passer threw for 3245 yards last year, but had just 13 touchdowns tosses. That number will need to go up for the club to reach the Playoffs this year.

Defensively Washington was one of the better teams in the league a season ago, holding opponents to 18.5 points per game. Their one weakness was a lackluster pass rush (24). The preseason will be a great time for the Redskins coaching staff to evaluate just what they have in linebacker Brian Orakpo. Orakpo's ability to get after the quarterback was the reason the club nabbed him with the 13th overall selection in this year's draft.

The Redskins also have some choices to make at quarterback during the exhibition season. Campbell is the clear cut starter, but there is a battle for the third string spot between second year player Colt Brennan and rookie Chase Daniel. If the coaching staff likes what they see out of the two youngsters, it may be veteran quarterback Todd Collins who gets cut.

The Ravens are coming off an 11-5 season in which they made it all the way to the AFC Championship Game. The team did lose defensive coordinator Rex Ryan as he left to take the top spot with the Jets, as well as two defensive starters in Bart Scott (LB) and Jim Leonhard (SS). There may be some transition issues, but the unit should, once again, be one of the better groups in the league.

Joe Flacco's continued evolution at quarterback will be most important in order for Baltimore to build on last year's success. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has said he will open things up a little more for the second year passer this year. Fans should expect to see some of that during the preseason, starting with Thursday night's scrap against the Redskins.

Thursday's game is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.
