Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Predictions & 2011 Super Bowl Predictions

Baltimore Ravens 2010 NFL Predictions & 2011 Super Bowl Predictions: Point-Spreads.com is breaking down the Baltimore Ravens out of the AFC North Division. The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Baltimore Ravens +750 odds to win Super Bowl XLV.

PROS: The Ravens continued to possess one of the top defenses in the NFL as they ranked third in the league in both points and yards allowed in 2009. With 32 sacks and 22 interceptions the Ravens didn't generate quite as many big defensive plays as in previous years, but they were solid in defending both the pass (8th) and run (5th). The unquestioned leader of the unit remains 35 year old Ray Lewis, who earned first team All Pro honors for the seventh time in his career in 2009. Defensive lineman Haloti Ngata earned his first Pro Bowl trip last season while free safety Ed Reed made the squad for the sixth time.

Offensively, the Ravens were still stronger running the football (5th) than passing (18th), but quarterback Joe Flacco has shown signs of becoming an elite quarterback. The addition of Anquan Boldin will give Flacco a top level target. Running back Ray Rice is one of the best all around backs in the NFL and gives Ravens great versatility out of the backfield. Willis McGahee is a great compliment to Rice in the Ravens backfield.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Baltimore Ravens +500 odds to win the 2011 AFC Championship Title.

CONS: The top two defensive players (Lewis and Reed) and top returning receiver (Derrick Mason) are all on the downside of great careers. Mason caught 73 passes for 1,028 yards last season but given his all out style of play it seems inevitable that injuries will eventually catch up with him. Though only 31, Reed has been hampered by injuries and has hunted that he may not have many years left.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Baltimore Ravens +450 odds to win the AFC North.
