Minnesota Vikings 2010 NFL Predictions & 2011 Super Bowl Predictions

Minnesota Vikings 2010 NFL Predictions & 2011 Super Bowl Predictions: Point-Spreads.com is breaking down the Minnesota Vikings out of the NFC North Division. The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Minnesota Vikings +1200 odds to win Super Bowl XLV.

PROS: While the performance of 40 year old quarterback Brett Favre was remarkable, it was made possible thanks in part to the outstanding supporting cast built around him. Though running back Adrian Peterson didn't repeat as NFL rushing champion, he was still a dangerous weapon that forced defenses to defend for his break away ability. Wide receiver Sidney Rice went from 15 receptions in 2009 to 81 catches, 1,312 yards and the Pro Bowl. Rookie Percy Harvin made a  immediate impact as a receiver and returner to also earn a Pro Bowl trip.

The defense ranked sixth overall in yards allowed and was the second toughest against the run in the NFL. Defensive end Jared Allen and defensive tackle Kevin Williams both earned first team All Pro honors. Defensive end Ray Edwards and linebacker Chad Greenway have also emerged as solid defensive performers.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Minnesota Vikings +600 odds to win the 2011 NFC Championship Title.

CONS: Last season the Vikings didn't know who would be their starting quarterback until Brett Favre finally agreed to report to the squad in mid August. Though indications are that Favre will be back in 2010, it could again be a late August decision since he is still recovering from off season ankle surgery. There is little precedent for an NFL team that has tied their short term success so significantly to one player, especially one that will be 41 years old during the season. If Favre decides to retire or physically not able to perform at his normally high standard, it will be very difficult for Tarvaris or Sage Rosenfels to lift the Vikings to the NFL Playoffs.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Minnesota Vikings +105 odds to win the NFC North.
