They finished first in points allowed giving up an average 13.9 ppg; they also gave up the least amount of yards giving up 237 yards per-game. They gave up a 2nd ranked 80.3 rushing yards per-game and a 1st ranked 157 passing yards per-game.
The Baltimore Ravens finished their regular season with an 11-5 record only to lose to Pittsburgh in the Conference final. QB Joe Flacco was average with 14 TD’s after throwing for 2,971 yards. His offense managed a 11th ranked 24.1 ppg, while averaging 324.3 total yards per-game. Their running game was great finishing ranked 4th averaging 148.9 yards a game thanks to their top RB Le’Ron McClain who had 10 TD’s after rushing for 902 yards. They had no passing game which ended up ranked 28th after averaging 179.8 passing yards per-game. Their top WR Derrick Mason had five TD’s with 1,037 yards. On defense they were solid. They allowed an average 3rd ranked 15.3 ppg, while giving up a 2nd ranked 261.1 total yards a game. Against the rush they allowed a 3rd ranked 81.3 yards per-game and against the pass they allowed a 2nd ranked 179.8 yards a game. Their top defender was Ray Lewis with 117 total tackles, 85 solo and 32 assisted. The Baltimore Ravens are listed as +300 moneyline underdogs to win the 2009-2010 AFC North.
The Cleveland Browns stunk it up last year with a 4-12 record while juggling between QB Derek Anderson and QB Brady Quinn. QB Anderson finished with nine TD’s for 1,615 yards, but eight interceptions and 14 sacks, while Quinn managed two TD’s for 518 yards and two interceptions. They averaged a dismal 14.5 ppg while averaging a 31st ranked 249.1 total yards a game. Their top RB Jamal Lewis had four TD’s for 1,002 yards, while top WR Braylon Edwards had three TD’s for 873 yards. They had almost no defense; they ranked 26th in total yards allowed and 28th against the rush. They did manage a 14th ranked pass defense that allowed a low 204 yards a game. The Cincinnati Bengals were just plain awful last year finishing with a 4-11-1 record after QB Carson Palmer was injured early in the start of the season. QB Palmer managed to throw for 731 yards with three TD’s and four interceptions before getting hurt. He’s injury free and ready to go. They were the worst team on offense averaging a 32nd ranked 12.8 ppg, while averaging a 32nd ranked 245 total yards a game. Their running game ranked 29th while their passing game ranked 30th. With Palmer back to throw to T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chad Ocho Cinco they should improve on offense. On defense they allowed a 19th ranked 22.8 ppg while giving up an average 12th ranked 325 total yards a game. They were 21st ranked against the rush and 15th ranked against the pass. The Cincinnati Bengals are listed as +600 moneyline underdogs to win the 2009-2010 AFC North.
