PROS: Though new quarterback Jason Campbell will likely never be considered among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL, he is an established starter and certainly an upgrade over JaMarcus Russell and Bruce Gradkowski. Defensively, the Raiders ranked seventh in the NFL in passing yards allowed. Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was named to the Pro Bowl for the second straight season. The Raiders were able to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks with 36 sacks, including svene by linebacker Trevor Scott. Defensive end Richard Seymour, acquired from the Patriots prior to the season opener, had four sacks and 47 tackles. Punter Shane Lechler had the best season punting average in 69 years with an average of 51.1 yards per punt.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Oakland Raiders +3500 odds to win the 2011 AFC Championship Title.

CONS: The Raiders scored the second fewest points in the NFL in 2009 with an average of 12.3 PPG. They ranked 29th in the league in passing offense and 21st in running the football. The running back situation is a perfect illustration of some of the struggles the Raiders have endured in recent years. Michael Bush, a fourth round pick in 2007, was the leading rusher for the squad last season while Darren McFadden, the fourth overall pick in 2008, has struggled during his two seasons with the Raiders. The receiving corps is very weak, as another former top 10 overall pick, Darrius Heward-Bey was a major disappointment in his rookie season. The lone bright spot amongst the receivers is tight end Zach Miller.

The 2010 NFL Predictions Experts at online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Oakland Raiders +600 odds to win the AFC West.
