Cowboys vs Chargers Lines 2010 NFL Preseason Week 2: The Dallas Cowboys will try to bounce against back the San Diego Chargers after losing to the Raiders in week one this Saturday at 9 PM ET. The Cowboys vs. Chargers NFL Betting Point Spread have the Chargers at -3 at SBGGLOBAL.com
In the loss against the Oakland Raiders 17-9 from last week the Boys looked horrible in the red zone and this becomes now a cause for coach Wade Phillips and the rest of his staff. When they reached the red zone they managed to get only three field goals out of drives that were 16, 13, 9 and 10 yards away from the end zone.
QB Jon Kitna and especially QB Matt Nichols had a terrible night against Oakland throwing for 168 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions combine. NFL betting fans should realize that not only Dallas is having some problems at the red zone but they also haven't been able to run the ball effectively in this preseason.
San Diego gave the impression of being the same time from last season, a well directed squad that doesn't have many problems with easy rivals. The Chargers beat the Bears 25-10 in preseason week one with a good performance by the rookie running back Ryan Mathews.
It was reported that Mathews threw up before the game because he was nervous about his NFL debut but after the first couple of plays he got himself together and ran for an impressive 50 yards in nine carries. Expect Norv Turner to start giving Mathews more and more touches in the next couples of games; he is the future but also the present of the Chargers' running game.
The Chargers defense had a few highlights too as they forced two turnovers against Chicago, one interception and one fumble recovery. Considering that Kitna and Nichols are not playing mistake free football so I expect San Diego's D to force more turnovers against the Boys.
Remember Wade Phillips is 15-11 straight up in the preseason with the Cowboys and Turner is 13-8 with the Chargers.
