The Titans lost against the Seahawks on the first week of the preseason 20-10 in a game where Vince Young had 78 passing yards and an interception, something usual in him. He looked more like a pocket quarterback than the natural playmaker that can make something happen with his legs. Young´s backup Rusty Smith threw for 71 yards and one interception for a poor 35.1 rating. Expect Young to have a lot of minutes on the field because Jeff Fisher knows his QB needs to be in rhythm for the regular week one against the Oakland Raiders.
Chris Johnson barely touched the ball against Seattle recording seven yards after five carries but even with that, he managed to find the end zone once. The two year running back Javon Ringer was the one who carried with his offense after running for 60 yards on just seven carries, including a 46-yard run in the second quarter.
NFL betting fans should expect the Titans to be a running team the whole year but especially against the Cardinals on Monday.
Arizona on the other side won their game against the Houston Texans 19-16 last week after scoring all their 19 points in the fourth quarter in a great comeback.
QB Matt Leinart completed six of seven throws for 47 yards without throwing a TD but more importantly without throwing a pick. Derek Anderson didn't have a better performance than Leinart either; he threw for 88 yards with one score and two interceptions. Both Leinart and Anderson are looking to become the starter behind the center of this team but so far neither of them has made a strong statement on the field.
As the Titans, the Cardinals will become a running team for the 2010, so expect to see Beanie Wells and Tim Hightower more and more on the field with every game that passes by in this preseason.
