Going 10-6 and squeezing into the playoffs, the New York Jets were a huge surprise last year. It is no secret that QB Chad Pennington has one of the weaker arms in the NFL. Fortunate for him, accuracy is much more important when running the West Coast offense. Sportsbook.com has posted the New York Jets betting odds at 30 to 1 to win Super Bowl XLII.
In the secondary, the Jets have a good one in S Kerry Rhodes who had an outstanding season a year ago. Like the linebacking corp., the secondary could have a rookie starting as well. 1st round CB Darrelle Revis will most likely start opposite of Andre Dyson. Given the Jets upgrade in schedule, 10 wins might be tough to achieve this season but if Pennington can stay on the field and have another solid season, a push for the playoffs isn’t out of the question.
