The Colts are sitting at 1-2 in the pre-season and they still have another game after tonight's skirmish. There is increasing speculation that quarterback Peyton Manning may not be ready for the regular season opener against the Bears, so, the five game exhibition schedule may be a blessing in disguise. Backup Jim Sorgi will get the nod if Manning is unable to go but newly signed Quinn Gray has been impressive in the pre-season. Gray is 29-of-53 in exhibition play for 367 yards and a touchdown.

Gray has seen more action than Sorgi thus far, but that will probably change this evening. The coaching staff will be looking for the fifth year veteran to post better numbers against the Bills than he did last week facing the Falcons.

Buffalo is coming off their debut in Toronto where they beat the Steelers 24-21 and outscored them 14-7 in the first half. Quarterback Trent Edwards, who be held out of tonight's game with a thigh bruise, looked masterful in dissecting the Steelers secondary. The Stanford product completed 9-of-11 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns. His pre-season numbers as well as the poise he has shown is likely making the Bills coaching staff feel more secure in their decision to start Edwards over former first round pick J.P. Losman.

Head Coach Dick Jauron will be anxious to see how his defense performs against the Colts first team offense. Last week Ben Roethlisberger posted some good numbers against the Bills secondary but they picked him off once and held the Steelers offense to just seven first half points. The Steelers ground game ran with relative ease on the Bills too, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

Sportsbook.com's line for tonight's game:

Bills +5.5, Over 37.5, +190 (Money line)

Colts -5.5, Under 37.5, -230 (money line)
