Monday Night Football: The NFL preseason carries on this evening with a Monday Night Football clash between the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens at MT&T Bank Stadium in the Charm City. The meeting is scheduled to get underway at 8:00pm ET and will be televised live on ESPN. The plot lines are thick tonight as former Baltimore defensive 
coordinator Rex Ryan faces his old club as a first time head coach. Ryan brings with him ex-Ravens Bart Scott and Jim Leonhard, who departed Baltimore with their coach during the off-season.
Ryan's new club, the New York Jets, lost its first preseason game 20-23 to the St. Louis Rams on August 14th at the Meadowlands. They did carry a 10-9 lead into the break after quarterbacks Kellen Clemons and Mark Sanchez combined to complete 6-of-7 passes for 112 yards. Third stringer Eric Ainge, who is not in contention for the starting job, hit on 10 of his 17 attempts for 148 yards and a touchdown.
Ryan has indicated that he may settle on his starting quarterback after tonight's contest. Sanchez, though, is still trying to treat it as just another game.
"If you put too much pressure on yourself and make this game where you have to do everything, and do it all right, you're just going to drive yourself crazy," Sanchez said.
The Ravens enter this evening's battle with a 1-0 preseason record. John Harbaugh's team demolished the Washington Redskins 23-0 on Thursday, August 13th in Baltimore.
Baltimore racked up 500 yards of offense in the victory, including 399 through the air. Quarterback Joe Flacco had a nice outing, completing 9-of-15 passes for 103 yards. Running back Willis McGahee, whose starting job might be in danger, also performed well, gaining 26 yards in just four carries.
The Ravens defense, however, was the star of the show as it held the Redskins to 196 total yards and 11 first downs for the game.
